FOR SERVICE CENTER ---PROS: competent, polite, reasonable, expedient, no problem using warranty for bill, waiting room is nice, has great WIFI, and decent coffeeCONS: had to wait for the part to be ordered, a mechanic left trash in my car.---Service Center here is solid. Had a problem with a 2011 Fusion. HVAC Motor Blower was making awful squeak and needed to be replaced. Representative diagnosed it instantly whereas other techs at other garages had no idea what was going on or couldn't hear the squeak. They didn't have the part in stock, and it took a bit for it to finally arrive, but once they did they fixed the problem in less than an hour. Waiting room is great: good WIFI connection and decent coffee. Drove off, noticed the door for my glovebox was mal-aligned from the repair, drove back, and they fixed that on the spot too, no charge. Mechanic left trash in my car from his lunchbreak, which was unprofessional, but that's an easy fix, and probably doesn't reflect the garage as a whole. Would recommend this garage to a friend.
I inquired about a car online and was set up to meet with Brian Cecil that same evening. Not only was he knowledgeable about the car, he made great suggestions and prices. I would definitely recommend him. Also, the other employees were nice and friendly as well (receptionist, salesmen etc.)
We have been associated with this dealership since it opened in Greenwood as it was H.D. Davis Ford, Smart and Perry, Smart, Greenwood Ford and now Ray Skillman. We have relationships established in Bill Baumgartner but he is not in sales so he referred us to a young sales man by the name of Joe Winkle.I am retired from the financial sales area for over 45 years and have associated with many sales people over the years and I must say that Joe is an asset to your sales staff. He is a very polite, informative, open, detailed, and to say honest is an understatement in your industry. My wife and I very pleased with the experrience and enjoy our new Esacape.Rob and Becky Gooding
I recently financed a 2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid through this dealership. The overall experience was enjoyable. The car is fantastic and their service was okay, the time it took to get the paperwork signed took a lot longer than I would have preferred.
In 2005, I bought a Ford Five Hundred from Ray Skillman Ford. I was completely satisfied with the car but was beginning to be concerned with the 120,000 miles I'd racked up. Meanwhile, my son wanted to look at a Hyundai Elantra. So we went to the big Labor Day Tent Sale at the Greenwood Park Mall. While Dave was driving the Elantra (which he bought), I took a test drive in the Hyundai Sonata - and fell in love! I'm really tall and the leg room on the Sonata blew me away! All of the appointments of the car were top notch. The sales folks made me a deal I couldn't refuse, so I traded my Ford for the Sonata. The people with whom I dealt were top drawer and were willing to negotiate the price.Hyundai offered a $1,500 cash back PLUS a $500 Military Veteran's cash discount!I've been driving the car for a week now and am still in love with my new Sonata.I enjoyed dealing with the folks at Ray Skillman and will probably be back when this car starts getting "long in the tooth" - in ten years or so!
