I hate the process of buying a car...2 months of looking for a used car with multiple visits to other dealers. Almost walked out on one dealership just because of schlocky salesmen, will never go back to that one just because of that. Took a chance and drove an hour to Ray Skillman to look at a specific vehicle. Could not have been happier with our sales guy, Brian Cecil. Honest, to the point, no BS. I will refer him and the dealership to anyone I know in need of a new or used car.
My salesman was Rocke McClunge and he was absolutely wonderful! He made me feel very at ease and comfortable and in the end that brought me back to Ray Skillman Ford and led to the purchase of a 2014 Ford Fiesta SE. This was not my original choice but after careful consideration and some guidance from Rocke and the sales team it was worth it. I took it out on the highway and a trip from Indianapolis to Hope, Indiana used an 1/8 of a tank and I achieved 41.6 MPG average with the A/C on and going 70. This team will take excellent care of you and help put you in the right car!
I went back to Ray Skillman Greenwood location after I had a check engine light on, a bit weary after a bad experience previously at Ray Skillman automall Indianapolis esp the finance guy, where I bought my car. Roy Potter the service guy immediately took care of the car , gave me a very new loaner car free of charge!! He explained to me what the cost was going to be and he went above and beyond.to have my warranty company to get them to pay for the injector which had to be replaced. I am very impressed with the service in this Ray Skillman location. However, I would avoid the Ray Skillman auto mall in Indy though as they are very rude and are not willing to work with you.
I searched the internet inventories of the Ford dealerships in my local area [ Elkhart / South Bend, IN ]. I then searched all the Ford dealerships in Indiana and no one came close to the selection and pricing of Ray Skillman Performance Ford. I also visited a Ford dealer in Elkhart. I told them exactly what I was looking for, the price and options I was looking at and why I was wanting to purchase a new car. They came back with vehicles not even close to what I wanted and pricing not in line with my budget. They told me I didn't want what I was asking for. Brian Cecil and Stephanie Duty truly listened to what I was asking for and delivered spot on. No stress, no pressure. They made it happen, just like they said they would. I drove 175 miles to do business with them and would do it again. I will probably take my car to them for my scheduled services as well. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new Ford car. In fact I've already told several people of my positive experience with them.
Brian and Lindsey are everything you want in a salesperson, they were honest and upfront, they were considerate of my time, and my needs, and professional in every regard as I purchased my new F150. As someone who has spent twenty years in customer service, I respect a team that is not there to just sell you a vehicle, but has a conversation with you to get to know what YOU want and what will work for you, and then work hard to get it for you. When I am ready to buy my next vehicle, I know who to go to. Thanks Brian and Lindsey!
