I am rating a 5 because up until the incident we occurred with finance, we were extremely pleased with the experience.Joe Winkle was the reason we finished the deal and did not leave without our 2015 Ford Mustang. He is a very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful salesman and Ray Skillman should see him as an asset to the dealership. He was patient with us when we were trying to decide on the color and package that we wanted and offered any and all suggestions to help us decide. With that being said and giving credit where credit is due... We would have walked out of the deal during the final steps of signing the finance paperwork if Joe would have not lost the commission on the deal. We came into the dealership with pre-approved financing from our credit union and was open to see if they could find better. Derrick Day was the finance person that helped us and we later decided to stay with our credit union. This meant that on Tuesday (We looked on the Saturday before Memorial Day) our loan officer would have all the information on the car and paperwork ready to go for pickup. To spare all the back and fourth details, after a few calls and texts from Derrick, out loan officer had the information he needed to send out the check (amount, VIN (because I sent this to him and the original purchase agreement), trade in value, etc.)On the way to the dealership I was in communications with our loan officer who was making sure all the final steps were completed and ironed out. About 25 minutes away from the dealership we received another call from our loan officer, he wanted to clarify that we had not changed the original agreement or vehicle. He stated that he had received another agreement that was a different amount than agreed upon, which he later found was an "extended warranty". An extended warranty was NEVER discussed or agreed upon when we agreed to the purchase of the vehicle. To amend a purchase agreement without or knowledge or authorization is completely unethical and a very shady business practice. When we arrived at the dealership my husband went into to sign the final papers when Derrick informed him that he had added this to the loan and that he "NEEDED" this to leave the lot. He also stated that our loan officer was "excited and happy" that this was offered to us...COMPLETE LIE! He tried to tell my husband that the FACTORY NEW FORD warranty would not be enough if something happened to the wiring or the turbo(Stock installed ECOBOOST) on the car. When my husband declined he then tried to belittle him by stating, "How will you AFFORD to pay for something when something happens to this car" and questioning his ability to fix a problem if it occurs. My husband then left the finance office and wanted to leave. He came outside while I called loan officer to verify one more time and Derrick came out stating that he would have to reprint all the paperwork that would take another 30 min at least, he knew that we were on a time constraint. Joe was informed and went in to speak to Derrick who then came out within 10 minutes stating that he was ready to finish. He still would not let up about the warranty and our not accepting to buy this...My husband ignored his continuing badgering and came out with the deal closed. Joe once again was awesome and thanked us for the business and apologized for the actions of Derrick. This was not the end of dealing with the paperwork because that afternoon our loan officer called to inform us that all the paperwork was for the wrong vehicle. The VIN number did not match the vehicle that we purchased. Derrick was informed of this from our loan officer on Tuesday and made NO EFFORT to contact us regarding his error. Not until I called the sales manager on Friday was this addressed. Randy Martin was prompt and courteous on getting the papers overnighted to us and to schedule for some minor repairs on the tint.PROS:Joe WinkleGreat selection of 2015 MustangsCustomer friendly dealership-felt welcomedCONS:Finance-Derrick Day specifically
